Four areas of transmission customization
Customization supports the existing nine product families, addressing installation, connection, locating and locking requirements beyond standard catalog options. Manufacturing arrangements follow the part’s requirements, with mating components coordinated in the same project.
Timing pulleys and mounting features
Review of bores, hubs, keyways, set-screw holes, flanges and mounting features for the machine layout and shaft interface. Tooth profile, pitch and belt width are considered alongside the matching belt, connecting the pulley geometry to its drive function.
Ball screw ends and support interfaces
Coordination of end journals, shoulders, threads, reliefs and travel requirements around support bearings, locking nuts, couplings and drive connections. End machining is reviewed with the nut mounting arrangement and support configuration.
Precision locating pins and bushings
Drawing review and custom supply for locating pins, stepped pins, locating bushings and related components. Attention goes to mating fits, lead-in features, locating length, removal access and wear requirements at contact surfaces.
Special locking and fastening parts
Assessment of custom screws, shouldered fasteners, locking parts and connectors, including head geometry, threads, shoulders, tool interfaces and available assembly space. The fastening function is considered in relation to the connected parts and their loading requirements.
